01
Transporting Cylinders (The "Swap Run")
Secure Them Upright
Cylinders must always be transported in an upright position and securely strapped down. Never let a cylinder roll loosely in a truck bed or boot.
Ventilate Your Vehicle
Always drive with your windows slightly open to ensure constant fresh air circulation.
Remove Regulators
Never transport a cylinder with the regulator attached.
Never Lift by the Valve
The valve is the most vulnerable part of the cylinder. Always move cylinders by gripping the main body or the protective collar.
02
Safe Storage in Your Garage or Workshop
Chain or Strap Them
The biggest risk to a cylinder is falling over and snapping the valve. Cylinders must always be stored upright and securely chained or strapped to a wall or dedicated welding cart.
Keep Away from Heat
Store your cylinders in a cool, dry place well away from direct sunlight, open flames, sparks, and electrical circuits.
Ensure Good Ventilation
Do not store cylinders in unventilated closets or enclosed pits.
03
Crucial Rules for Specific Gases
Oxygen Rules (Strictly No Oil or Grease)
Pure Oxygen reacts violently with oils and greases. Never touch an Oxygen cylinder valve or regulator with greasy hands or oily gloves. Doing so can cause a spontaneous explosion.
Inert Gases (Argon, Nitrogen, CO2, Brewgas)
While not flammable, they are odorless and heavier than air. In a poorly ventilated space, they can displace oxygen and cause suffocation.
04
What to Do in an Emergency
If tightening the valve does not stop a leak
Do not attempt to repair the valve yourself. If safe to do so, move the cylinder to a well-ventilated outdoor area. Contact your local Easygas agency or our technical support team for instructions on safely returning the defective cylinder.

KNOW THE RISKS
Understanding Gas Hazards
While our rent-free cylinders are strictly maintained and safety-tested, the gases inside carry specific properties you must be aware of:

Asphyxiation Risk
Inert gases like Argon, Nitrogen, and CO2 are odourless and heavier than air. In confined spaces or poorly ventilated vehicles, a leak can displace oxygen and cause unconsciousness without warning.

Combustion Acceleration
Pure Oxygen is not flammable itself, but it violently accelerates combustion. It must be kept completely free of oils, greases, and petroleum products at all times.

High Pressure
All Easygas cylinders are highly pressurised. A broken valve can turn a cylinder into a dangerous projectile. Always secure cylinders upright.
SAFETY DATA SHEETS
Download Safety Data Sheets
At Easygas, your safety is our top priority. Before transporting, storing, or using any Easygas product, we strongly advise all customers and stockists to review the relevant Safety Data Sheet (SDS). These documents provide essential information on product hazards, safe handling procedures, storage requirements, and emergency first-aid measures.

Emergency Contact Information
If you suspect a cylinder is leaking, or if an emergency occurs:
1. Move the cylinder to a well-ventilated, outdoor area immediately, only if it is safe to do so.
2. Keep all ignition sources away.
3. Evacuate the immediate area.
4. Do not attempt to dismantle or repair the cylinder valve yourself.
For technical support or to report a faulty cylinder, please contact our team via the Contact Us page or call us directly at 021 4541149. In the event of a medical emergency or fire, dial emergency services immediately.
